the beginning of this month we traveled to NYC for a little getaway [scott's birthday celebration] and to meet up with laurel + jake for their engagement session! they live in brooklyn and they really wanted the photos to take place in the brownstone they're building the early days of their lives together. love that! their home is such a perfect reflection of the two of them + the places they've visited. all the trinkets, treasures + art they had displayed were amazing and jake played some of his rare vinyl collection while they sipped on cocktails. after a bit, we hopped a cab over to manhattan + ended up in the meat packing district + walked along the highline. such a natural bond between these two + their connection is so beautiful! here's a glimpse into the lives of the lovely laurel + jake....
